'Crippling and Potentially Historic Blizzard' to Slam Bedford, Katonah

Calling it a "crippling and potentially historic blizzard" the National Weather Service is advising against traveling from Monday evening through Tuesday because a blizzard is forecast to potentially dump up to 30 inches of snow on Bedford and Katonah. The National Weather Service just scrapped its Blizzard Watch and replaced it with a Blizzard Warning, which begins at 1 p.m. Monday and runs until midnight.

Thousands Without Power in Bedford, Katonah

According to utility company NYSEG, 6,195 Westchester County customers are without power Sunday due to downed trees and power lines, with more than 2,400 of those outages in the Bedford and Katonah areas. Bedford and Bedford Hills combined account for about 2,000 of the customers without power, and more than 350 outages are reported in Mount Kisco and Katonah combined.
