BEDFORD, N.Y. A new conservation initiative connecting Westchester County in New York and Fairfield County in Connecticut will involve landowners identified as crucial in the battle to protect endangered streams, drinking water reservoirs and plant and wildlife habitat. The Hudson to Housatonic Conservation Initiative will be led by Highstead Foundation , Westchester Land Trust, Mianus River Gorge and Housatonic Valley Association.
