Two longtime local lawyers, both former city solicitors under previous New Bedford mayors, alleged Friday that state gaming officials are treating southeastern Massachusetts unfairly in their consideration of casino applications and could be endangering casino developers' ability to secure investment in the region. The issue of whether casino projects elsewhere in New England and the state, including the Boston area, could over-saturate the market for New Bedford - a concern raised earlier this month by members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission - reopened a decades-old wound.
